Required Education

Top Skills & Years of Experience

• 5+ years of experience gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, including pipeline-as-code, branching strategies, automated code reviews, and testing aligned with organizational goals
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• 2-3 Salesforce certifications required
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce, SQL, Java, and web services development

Preferred

• Salesforce Architect certification

Interview Process

• Virtual Interview via MS Teams (video required); the candidate should join from a laptop and be prepared to share their screen if requested. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any interviews and a vendor present at the beginning of the virtual interview to validate candidate.
• In‑person interview for the 2nd round.

Duration: 6‑months, with the intent to hire the contractor into a full‑time position with SOMI within 6‑months to a year.

Work Authorization

At the time of hire, the candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship from the State of Michigan.

Hybrid Work Schedule (Non‑Negotiable)

• Required onsite days- Wednesdays and Thursdays
• Remote eligible days- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays

Location

Candidates must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area (within miles) at time of submission. This requirement is non‑negotiable.
