Job summary

GEI Consultants in Lansing, MI is seeking Civil Engineers to join our growing office. This position will support design efforts for county drainage, storm water management, site development and municipal projects. Responsibilities include preparing design drawings in Civil 3D, providing field construction oversight, and developing drawings, specifications, bid documents and schedules.

Travel to project sites and GEI offices is required. We encourage candidates pursuing a B.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in civil or environmental engineering.
• 0–3 years of professional experience.
• Strong written and oral communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings in Civil 3D with oversight from senior staff.
• Provide construction oversight in the field as required.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, bid documents and schedules.
• Assist in development of project plans, schedules and budgets; help proposals and new business.
