Job summary

The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) is seeking a Manager, Language Services to oversee translation and interpretation for City agencies and offices. You will manage projects end-to-end, coordinate with internal staff and vendors, and ensure timely, accurate language access across programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and hands-on PM experience in language services or fast-paced settings, with native fluency in a designated city language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Hands-on project management experience, preferably in language services or fast-paced coordination.
• Native fluency in one of the City-designated languages (Arabic, Bangla, Chinese, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, or Urdu).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for City clients, partners, and linguistic resources.
• Manage end-to-end translation projects from intake through delivery.
• Lead translation of MOIA's website content and other public-facing materials.
• Coordinate interpretation requests and provide technical support for virtual interpretation events.
• Backup for urgent after-hours language access requests.
