Summary

A teacher will utilize effective teaching methods to ensure student success and foster an exemplary educational environment that promotes achievement for all students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities
  • Create a positive educational climate for students
  • Meet course and school-wide performance goals
  • Participate in ongoing training
  • Create and modify lesson plans throughout the year
  • Grade papers and perform administrative duties
  • Stay current with educational topics
  • Use various curriculum resources and technologies
  • Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lessons
  • Reflect diverse student backgrounds in curricula
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives
  • Prepare and distribute parent communications
  • Evaluate student performance
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Must be at least 18 years old
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications
  • Criminal background check required
  • Must obtain Colorado Educator License within 30 days of hire
  • Possess the required license and endorsement; if highly qualified by content test or semester hours, must have a Colorado license with a passing score or relevant coursework
  • Preference for candidates with ELL Training or ESL/LDE Endorsement
Salary and Benefits
