Qualifications

• Valid Iowa teaching license (Standard, Initial, Master or Substitute License) issued by BOEE.
• Experience: Prior teaching, student teaching, or substitute experience preferred.
• Clearances: Mandatory Criminal Fingerprint and Background Check; Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work as scheduled on a regular, reliable basis for the duration of the long-term assignment.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in designated locations and times.
• Implements existing unit/lesson plans or develops new plans aligned with curriculum.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning and maturity.
• Utilizes a variety of instructional techniques, technology, and materials for diverse learning styles.
• Establishes and maintains standard classroom management and expectations.
• Evaluates, records, and reports student progress and maintains confidential records.
• Communicates with parents, guardians, and administration regarding student progress.
