NSA's Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), contribute to SIGINT by analyzing, transcribing, and translating foreign language materials. Depending on skill and experience, MDLAs are considered for the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct-hire analytic roles, with 4–5 operational tours and formal training.

Applicants must be proficient (ILR 2/2) in reading and listening for their target language and meet experience requirements, with pathways from entry

Formación

• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language required.
• At least 1 year in translation, transcription, language instruction, or analysis; or related non-language work.
• Full Performance/Senior levels require leadership experience.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials for SIGINT.
• Research cultures and geopolitical context to support analytic work.
• Apply techniques to synthesize large volumes of data from diverse sources.
• Craft written and oral assessments for NSA SIGINT missions.
