Job summary

The City of Spokane invites applicants to apply to Project Employee - Language Access Technical Trainer. Under the Office of Web Services and in coordination with the Office of Civil Rights, Equity, and Inclusion Language Access Coordinator, this temporary professional position plans and delivers trainings on language access tools and resources.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience planning and delivering technical trainings
  • Requires driver’s license or mobility
  • Ability to tailor trainings to different learning styles
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech

Responsibilities

  • Develops technical tools for language access and trains staff to use them
  • Designs and delivers training programs for language access resources
  • Provides technical input for tool implementation and trainings
  • Iterates training programs as tools evolve
  • Provides training to POS agencies to support CLAS compliance
  • Delivers training on translation or interpretation services as needed
  • Performs related work as required
