Unique Industries in Blairs, Virginia, seeks 1st shift Lane Verifiers to maintain empty conveyor lanes by scanning, palletizing, and stacking cartons for shipment. The role requires RF scanning, pallet jacking, and ensuring correct items move down the line while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Stages empty pallets at the assigned conveyor lane.
• Use RF scanner on daily basis to scan Pallet ID, lane Bar Code and case bar codes
• Stacks scanned cartons onto the staged pallet, heavier cartons on the bottom, no taller than 77 inches.
• Immediately notify lane conductor of any incorrect items coming down conveyor
• Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
• A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Properly place and initial pallet ID tags for every pallet.

About Our Opportunity

We are seeking 1st shift Lane Verifiers, to work in the Blairs, Virginia warehouse.The Lane Verifier keeps all conveyor lanes empty by scanning, palletizing and stacking cartons for order shipment.

Responsibilities

• Stages empty pallets at the assigned conveyor lane.
• Use RF scanner on daily basis to scan Pallet ID, lane Bar Code and case bar codes
• Stacks scanned cartons onto the staged pallet, heavier cartons on the bottom, no taller than 77 inches.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Knowledge to use a pallet jack and an automated stretch wrap machine.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math
• Three months prior experience and/or training in the distribution/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) scanners preferred.
• Shipping/dock experience preferred.

Pay

We offer competitive pay based on job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, and geographic location.

The starting hourly pay rate is $13.75.

Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s compensation guidelines, and business needs.
