Job summary

Unique Industries, Inc. in Blairs, VA seeks a 1st shift Lane Verifier to keep conveyor lanes clear by scanning, palletizing and stacking cartons for order shipment. The role emphasizes accuracy, proper pallet handling, and adherence to safety standards.

You will operate a pallet jack, use RF scanners daily, and stage pallets with ID tags, while maintaining professional relations with the team. Starting pay is $13.75/hour, with compensation based on experience and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Knowledge to use a pallet jack and an automated stretch wrap machine.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers to meet departmental goals.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Three months prior experience and/or training in the distribution/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) scanners preferred.
• Shipping/dock experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stages empty pallets at the assigned conveyor lane.
• Use RF scanner on daily basis to scan Pallet ID, lane Bar Code and case bar codes.
• Stacks scanned cartons onto the staged pallet, heavier cartons on the bottom, no taller than 77 inches.
• Immediately notify lane conductor of any incorrect items coming down conveyor.
• Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
• A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Properly place and initial pallet ID tags for every pallet.
