Job summary

Unique Industries is seeking a 1st shift Lane Verifier to work in our Blairs, Virginia warehouse. The Lane Verifier keeps all conveyor lanes empty by scanning, palletizing and stacking cartons for order shipment. You will stage pallets, use RF scanners, and ensure items match orders with attention to safety.

Qualifications include ability to prioritize, communicate with teammates and management, perform basic math, and understand instructions. RF scanner and dock/shipping experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Must communicate with management and coworkers to meet goals.
• Must understand written and oral instructions.
• Must perform basic math.
• Three months prior experience and/or training in distribution/manufacturing preferred.
• RF scanners experience preferred.
• Shipping/dock experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage empty pallets at the assigned conveyor lane.
• Use RF scanner daily to scan Pallet ID, lane Bar Code and case bar codes.
• Stack scanned cartons onto the staged pallet, heavier cartons on the bottom, not exceeding 77 inches.
• Notify lane conductor of any incorrect items coming down conveyor.
• Maintain professional relations with others and support constructive working relationships.
• Commitment to quality and safety company-wide.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Place and initial pallet ID tags on every pallet.

Responsibilities

• Stages empty pallets at the assigned conveyor lane.
• Use RF scanner on daily basis to scan Pallet ID, lane Bar Code and case bar codes
• Stacks scanned cartons onto the staged pallet, heavier cartons on the bottom, no taller than 77 inches.
• Immediately notify lane conductor of any incorrect items coming down conveyor
• Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
• A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Properly place and initial pallet ID tags for every pallet.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Knowledge to use a pallet jack and an automated stretch wrap machine.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math
• Three months prior experience and/or training in the distribution/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) scanners preferred.
• Shipping/dock experience preferred.

Pay

We offer competitive pay based on job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, and geographic location.

The starting hourly pay rate is $13.75.

Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s compensation guidelines, and business needs.
