Grandover Resort is seeking a Landscaping Professional to join the Golf Maintenance team. The role focuses on coordinating and participating in planting and routine care of trees, shrubs, and beds across the resort grounds.
Ideal candidates have horticulture experience and are comfortable using power equipment such as edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers. Flexible, hardworking individuals are encouraged to apply for this full-time, hourly position.
We have an open position for a Landscaping Professional to work with our Golf Maintenance team!
To Coordinate and participate in the planting and routine care of trees and shrubs, ground covers, Perennials and annual plantings on through Grandover Resort.
1.Individual must have a strong work ethic and a good eye for detail
2.Proficient operation of edgers, blowers and other equipment
3.Knowledgeable or willingness to learn in the process of installing shrubs, trees and annual plant material
4.Clean up grounds and grounds maintenance in designated areas of the resort
5.Remove and plant winter/summer annuals
6.Mulch and maintain all beds on hotel grounds
7.Cut and maintain all native grasses on property
8.Water plants that are not irrigated
9.Maintain beds at all bath houses, Rockingham entrance, and golf course directionals
10.Prune and shape bushes, shrubs, crepe myrtles, hollies and the Grandover Parkway hedges
11.Operate backpack blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, pruners, skid steer, backhoe, tractors, leaf vac and the use of rakes and shovels
12.Comfortable using power equipment including chainsaws and chipper
13.Assist with appropriate weed/pest control (both manually and chemically) for beds and landscape areas
14.Must be flexible and able to perform related duties as assigned or special projects related to various aspects of facilities management as assigned by supervisor
1. Ability to read and write.
2. Valid Driver's License, desirable but not required.
3. Experience in Horticulture, landscape operations or related field desirable.
4. Work in all-weather environments: rain, snow and heat.
