Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Landscape Technician to join our team in California. You’ll maintain turf and plant material, operate commercial landscaping equipment, and support maintenance across commercial, industrial, and public properties.

The role emphasizes safety, customer-friendly service, and reliability. Training and benefits are provided as part of BrightView's supportive, crew-oriented culture; licensing and clean driving record are required for fleet vehicle operators.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Able to safely operate power landscaping equipment.
• BrightView fleet vehicle operators must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf, trim borders, and blow using power equipment.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve growth or remove damaged branches.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds, apply mulch.
• Pick up trash and debris.
• Weed by hand or with a hoe.
• Maintain a polite, friendly demeanor with guests and customers.

You’d create beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties.You’d safely operate commercial grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

You’d be responsible for:

• Cutting turf, trimming and edging along borders, and blowing using power equipment
• Pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damagedbranches
• Planting and maintaining flowerbeds, and applying mulch
• Picking up trash and debris
• Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hulahoe
• Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests andcustomers

• You’re able to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters
• Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
