Job summary

Esplanade at St. Marys in St. Mary, GA is hiring a full-time Landscaper to maintain turf, trees, shrubs, bedding plants and flowers.

You will operate mowers, weed trimmers, and utility vehicles, plant and prune as needed, and help keep the grounds clean and safe for members and guests. Qualifications include a valid driver's license and basic English communication; no heavy formal education required, and on-site work with occasional physical demands.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing togrow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.The Landscaper provides for the care and maintenance of the turf area, ornamental trees, shrubs, bedding plants, and flowers.

Prepares soil for planting beds and lawn areas.

Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles.

Plants trees, shrubs, turf grass and flowers.

Prunes and trims trees and shrubs.

Maintains a clean landscape environment through trash removal and debris cleanup.

Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Maintains landscape through application of mulch, water, fertilizer and grooming.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls; talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs and balances, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally experiences vibration.

Certificates/Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License
