Job summary

Seven Feathers in Canyonville, Oregon is seeking a Grounds Technician to maintain the property, operate and troubleshoot heavy equipment, and interpret irrigation plans. You will apply proper pruning, turf fertility, and manage irrigation and landscaping systems while assisting with waste pumping.

Requires 1-3 years gardening/landscaping experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a valid Oregon driver’s license; Class I Gaming License may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years gardening or landscaping experience.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
• Analytical/mathematics skills are essential.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and communicate effectively both written and oral.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
• Current and valid Oregon Driver's License with ability to qualify for UIDC Drivers Program.
• Must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (tractors, sweepers) and lawn care tools; perform minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot irrigation systems and read/implement irrigation plans.
• Read landscape design plans and execute design implementations.
• Determine mix ratios of herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers.
• Diagnose fungus and insect issues; support turf maintenance and plant health.
