Job summary

Gulfshoresal in Mansfield, TX is seeking a landscape technician to perform routine landscape maintenance and repair under supervision. You will operate mower, trimmer, blower, and related equipment, mow and edge lawns, plant trees and shrubs, and assist with irrigation tasks.

The job requires a high school diploma and a valid Texas driver’s license, with potential pesticide/ safety certifications a plus. Applicants should be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of landscape maintenance methods, tools and equipment.
Working knowledge of plant materials, irrigation, fertilizers and pesticides.
Ability to analyze problems and plan solutions.
Ability to maintain records of materials used.
Ability to operate mower, line trimmer, edger, chainsaw, spreader and other landscape tools.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and perform weekend shifts as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending, kneeling and climbing.

Responsibilities

Perform moderately complex, routine landscape maintenance and repair work on a regular schedule.
Operate equipment such as mower, line trimmer, blower, and tractor.
Mow, edge, trim, plant and maintain trees, shrubs, turf and flowers.
Load and unload materials and equipment; assist others as needed.
Perform light maintenance on vehicles, irrigation systems and concrete work.
