Job summary

John M. Corcoran & Company seeks a Horticulturist to maintain grounds and enhance curb appeal across properties in Massachusetts, Northern Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire. The role requires operating power landscaping tools and coordinating with contractors.

Associates or certificates in Horticulture with English literacy and adherence to safety screenings are required. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with a salary range disclosed by the employer.

Qualifications

• Associate's or certificate in Horticulture or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
• Ability to operate power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, pruners, chainsaws and other landscaping tools.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plant and prune shrubs, plants, trees, and flowers.
• Maintain grass and ensure proper irrigation and fertilization.
• Ensure proper irrigation of shrubs, grass, flowers, and trees.
• Set railroad ties and safely operate power equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Monitor and work with outside contractors and suppliers.
• Assist in response to emergency storm situations and snow/ice management.
• Assist with truck deliveries as requested.
