Job summary
JMC, a leading New England real estate firm, is seeking a Horticulturist to maintain grounds and enhance curb appeal across properties in Massachusetts, Northern Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire. This role requires operating a range of landscaping tools and traveling to sites as needed.
You will work Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with pay between $26.75 and $38 per hour. Candidates should have an Associate's or certificate in Horticulture and be able to pass background and
Qualifications
- Associate's or certificate in Horticulture.
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques.
- Ability to operate a range of power landscaping equipment.
- Ability to pass background, Drug and Alcohol screening and Physical and Agility tests at time of hire and throughout employment.
Responsibilities
- Plant and/or prune shrubs, plants, trees, and flowers
- Maintain grass/lawns; ensure proper irrigation and fertilization
- Ensure proper irrigation of shrubs, grass, flowers, and trees
- Set railroad ties
- Safely operate and maintain power equipment per manufacturer instructions
- Monitor and work with outside contractors and suppliers
- Assist in response to emergency storm situations
- Help with snow and ice management
- Assist with truck deliveries as requested
