Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Canton Township, MI is seeking a Landscape Trainee to support planned landscaping operations and grounds maintenance for private, governmental or corporate sites. Your office is outdoors, and you will learn to plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch and diagnose turf and shrub conditions while collaborating with a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping preferred.
• Turf, weed, tree and shrub ID, pathology knowledge preferred.
• Davey Landscape career development books required upon hire.
• Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course required upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement preferred.
• Pesticide licenses as required by state law.
