The Davey Tree Expert Company in Youngstown, OH, is seeking a Landscape Trainee to support planned landscaping operations. Your office is outdoors, and you will learn to manage plantings, mowing, mulching, and diagnostic tasks while working with senior staff.

Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors.
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping preferred.
- Broad knowledge of turf, weeds, and tree/shrub ID and physiology preferred.
- Ability to complete Davey Landscape career development books upon hire.
- Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement preferred.
- Pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law.

- Learn to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions.
- Maintain open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
- Drive, use, maintain and properly operate equipment
- Love of the outdoors
- Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping
- Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID, Pathology, and knowledge of turf or tree physiology
- Ability to complete the Davey Landscape career development books upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred: Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
- Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
