Job summary

J and R Property Services in Cicero, NY is hiring a Landscape Technician to maintain residential and commercial properties. You'll perform mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and seasonal cleanups, and operate commercial equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation to our facility or designated job sites
• A positive attitude, team-first mindset, and strong attention to detail
• Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred (but not required—we train the right candidates!)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily lawn and landscape tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, planting, mulching, and seasonal cleanups
• Operate commercial equipment safely and efficiently (mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools)
• Ensure job sites are left clean, orderly, and professionally finished
• Maintain, clean, and inspect equipment before and after use
• Follow safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times (steel/composite toe boots required)
• Report any equipment issues, job site concerns, or customer feedback to your Crew Leader or Supervisor
• Assist with snow and ice management operations during the winter season (if applicable)
