Job summary

Merit Landscape Solutions of Texas in Dallas seeks a Production Manager to lead field crews, oversee client landscapes, ensure high-quality work, and meet profitability targets.

You will schedule work, track labor costs, coordinate with account managers, and promote a safety-focused culture while following company policies.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in commercial landscaping at crew foreman level or higher.
• A degree in horticulture, turf grass science, landscape technology or related field is preferred but not required.
• Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with safety practices for crews, the public and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field staff and manage client jobs to ensure high-quality, profitable, efficient work.
• Follow company policies and safety standards.
• Apply knowledge of landscape maintenance, equipment, and labor to boost branch success.
• Oversee crew performance and control direct costs such as labor and materials.
• Monitor labor budgets and other costs to meet income from operations.
• Coordinate with Crew Leads and Account Managers to meet client expectations.
• Schedule work and ensure equipment/material readiness for jobs.
• Model ethical behavior and promote company culture and safety.
• Approve daily crew time and manage paperwork between field and office.

• Supervise field staff and manage client jobs to ensure the crews consistently performs high quality work, meet client requirements and fulfill them in a profitable and efficient manner
• Follow company policies and procedures in order to maintain all operations and meet safety standards
• Use your knowledge of landscape maintenance, landscape equipment, and labor & quality control to boost the overall success of the branch
• Supervise crew performance and control direct costs such as labor and materials
• Monitor and maintain Labor Budgets along with other direct and indirect costs to ensure Income from Operations is met
• Work closely with Crew Leads and Account Managers to ensure client expectations are met
• Work with Shop Manager and Account Manager to assure proper equipment and material is ready for upcoming jobs
• Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting company culture and safety
• Schedule new and existing work in Aspire to reflect the most efficient routing for each crew
• Review and approve daily crew time in Aspire
• Provide accurate and timely paperwork flow between field and office
