MNL, a leader in ecological restoration, is seeking a Landscape Laborer for our Vegetation Management department. This entry-level position involves performing various vegetation management duties, primarily weed whipping and supporting restoration fieldwork.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform vegetation management and landscaping duties using equipment such as weed whips, backpack sprayers, chainsaws, and ATVs.
• Conduct weed control activities, including herbicide application, weed whipping, hand weeding, and brush cutting.
• Maintain work records and paperwork, including daily logs and herbicide treatments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with safe operation and maintenance of landscaping tools and equipment.
• Ability to read maps and follow directions accurately.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain a commercial pesticide applicator license (training paid by MNL).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and reach as needed.
• Prolonged standing periods.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday and travel to various worksites, with occasional overnight stays.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
