GENERAL SUMMARY
The Landscape Irrigation Technician will oversee the performance of the entire Landscape irrigation system maintenance and service.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Recommend coverage improvements to irrigation systems.
2. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste.
3. Replacement of damaged irrigation parts as needed.
4. Knowledge of all isolation valves, mainlines, quick couplers, and heads.
5. Understanding of property watering needs.
6. Understanding of pressure requirements and flow.
7. Understanding of drainage.
8. Understanding of basic electrical.
9. Operation of hand tools, trencher, backhoe, pump stations and other required equipment.
10. Maintain designated work vehicle in clean and tidy condition.
11. Individual is responsible for all hand tools and power equipment supplied to them.
12. Individual may be asked to cover other areas when necessary.
13. Use of proper safety equipment at all times.
14. Ability to perform the duties of a Landscaper II.
15. Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: The Landscape Irrigation Technician does not have any supervisory duties. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; One-year certificate from college or technical school specifically in Irrigation preferred. Five (5) years of relevant work experience required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. This position also requires the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “B” gaming license.
• Certified Toro, Rainbird, or other similar irrigation computer systems.
• Valid California Driver’s License.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Certifications in CAD based Irrigation system is preferred.
• Knowledge of GC Pump Station service & maintenance requirements.
• Must be able to follow oral and written directions and perform basic math as required.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast-paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
