Job summary

Stability Staffing and Consulting LLC is seeking a dependable Landscape Irrigation Specialist to support the Public Gardens Team across Downtown San Antonio and River Walk locations. You will maintain irrigation systems, plant and care for flora, and supervise field activities to ensure healthy, water-conscious landscapes.

This outdoor role requires physical work, background check, and travel between city locations.

Qualifications

• 4 years irrigation design, construction and inspection experience, including 1 year supervision.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel between Downtown San Antonio and River Walk locations.
• Must pass background check.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance landscaped areas throughout Downtown San Antonio and River Walk.
• Plant, maintain, and care for flowers and plants.
• Maintain large areas of flower beds and landscaped spaces.
• Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain multiple irrigation systems at various City/River Walk locations.
• Identify irrigation issues, leaks, and schedule adjustments.
• Support water conservation and plant health through efficient irrigation.
• Perform routine irrigation inspections and adjustments to watering schedules.
• Assist with irrigation design, construction, and inspection activities as needed.
• Coordinate work across multiple locations with safety in mind.
• Perform other landscape and irrigation duties as assigned.

Location: Downtown San Antonio River Walk – Various City Locations
Pay Rate: $18.77 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary – Through December 2026, with potential for extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Landscape Irrigation Specialist to support the Public Gardens Team at various downtown San Antonio and River Walk locations.

This position will assist with maintaining public landscaped areas, planting and caring for flowers and plants, maintaining large square footage of flower beds, and overseeing and maintaining multiple irrigation systems throughout various City locations.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on irrigation experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the overall health and appearance of public gardens and landscaped areas.

• Work as part of the Public Gardens Team to maintain and enhance landscaped areas throughout Downtown San Antonio and the River Walk.
• Plant, maintain, and care for flowers, plants, and other landscape materials.
• Maintain large areas of flower beds and landscaped spaces.
• Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain multiple irrigation systems located at various City and River Walk locations.
• Identify irrigation issues, leaks, malfunctions, and areas requiring adjustment or repair.
• Help ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently to promote water conservation and plant health.
• Perform routine irrigation inspections and make necessary adjustments to watering schedules and system operation.
• Support irrigation design, construction, maintenance, and inspection activities as needed.
• Coordinate work across multiple locations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Perform other related landscape and irrigation duties as assigned.

This is an outdoor position requiring work in various Downtown San Antonio and River Walk locations. The position may involve walking, standing, bending, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions

Position Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check
• High school diploma or GED
• Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in irrigation design, construction, and inspection, including at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead responsibility.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel between various Downtown San Antonio and River Walk locations.
• Ability to perform physical work associated with landscape and irrigation maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
