Job summary

Wild Horse Pass Resort and Casino in Chandler, AZ is seeking a landscape maintenance associate to care for the grounds around enterprise properties and demonstrate the GILA WAY by greeting guests, interacting with them, listening, and showing appreciation.

Responsibilities include performing manual landscaping tasks, mowing, raking, planting, maintaining tools and storage, supporting irrigation, and keeping sidewalks and parking areas clean.

Qualifications

• General landscape maintenance experience required.
• Ability to perform manual labor (digging, raking, sweeping, planting).
• Ability to greet, interact with and listen to guests in line with the GILA WAY.
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
• Completes projects and assignments as directed by the landscape manager.
• Cleans parking lot and sidewalks; removes trash and stains.
• Maintains and mows grass; trims shrubs and trees as directed.
• Supports irrigation maintenance and repairs as necessary.
• Keeps tools, supplies and equipment secure and organized.
• Attends update meetings and trainings as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

Pay range: $19 per hour

This position is responsible to maintain the landscape and grounds on and around enterprise properties, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
• Completes all projects and assignments as directed by the field foreman and/or landscape manager.
• Cleans and maintains the parking lot and sidewalks, by removing trash, oil stains and unsightly gum and/or food stains.
• Cleans enterprise buildings and grounds annually using steam cleaners.
• Safely and properly operates equipment as assigned and trained to maintain the landscape surrounding enterprise properties.
• Assists with irrigation maintenance and repairs as necessary.
• Cleans and maintains the enterprise landscape by raking, sweeping, planting of shrubs and trees and trimming as needed and assigned.
• Maintains storage trailer to ensure all tools, supplies and equipment and secure and clean.
• Maintains and mows grass as directed.
• Attends update meetings and in-house trainings as required.
• Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Skills/ Requirements

• General landscape maintenance experience required.
• Skilled in the area of manual labor as it relates to digging, raking, sweeping and planting.
• Ability to perform the GILA WAY which is as follows; Greet our guest, Interact with our guest, Listen actively to our guest, Appreciate our guest.
• Must possess excellent guest service skills, be a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
