Havasu Landing Resort and Casino is seeking a full-time Landscaper Maintenance to join the Maintenance department. You will maintain park landscape, plant care, irrigation, pruning, fertilizing and pest control under guidance of the Maintenance Manager and Resort General Manager.

The role requires operating grounds keeping equipment, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working outdoors in extreme heat. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, and paid vacation/sick time.

Responsabilidades

• Operate grounds keeping equipment to complete daily tasks.
• Follow directions from Maintenance Manager and Resort GM.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to work with a small crew to maintain park landscape maintenance and related tasks including planting, irrigation, trimming, pruning, cultivating, fertilizing, mulching and spraying for pests and diseases.
• Ability to work with all types of native and introduced plant materials including trees, shrubs, turf grasses, ground covers and ornamentals.
• Work on mobile home park tenant landscaping and remain in Havasu Landing Resort compliance as directed by Maintenance Manager and/or Resort General Manager.
• Must have the ability to work with landscape problems such as poor drainage, soil erosion, soil compaction, high acidity, alkalinity, etc.
• Must be able to operate all types of grounds keeping equipment necessary to fulfill daily tasks.
• Must be able to perform any and all other duties as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be age 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of planting and caring for shrubs, trees, flowers and ground cover is required.
• Must have knowledge of principles of plant growth and the relationship of plants to their environment.
• Some knowledge of plant pests and diseases and their control is required.
• Must have experience in use of grounds keeping tools and equipment.
• Must have principal knowledge of safety practices using tools and equipment.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Requires lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds when lifting trash bags and grounds keeping equipment as well as when assisting maintenance personnel with maintenance tasks.
• Position requires frequent bending and/or stooping when removing debris and trash from property grounds and performing other grounds keeping and maintenance tasks.
• This position requires use of ladders and stepladders.
• This position requires the ability to work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
