Job summary

Great Oaks Landscape Associates, based in Novi, Michigan, is seeking a Landscape Foreman to join our hands-on team. This full-time role supervises a crew of up to eight, making on-site decisions with input from Project Managers, and requires 5 years in landscaping with at least 2 years in a leadership position.

You will review designs with designers and PMs, train crew members, and ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and client expectations while promoting safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Five years of landscaping experience required, with at least two years in a leadership role.
• Ability to supervise a crew of up to 8 and coordinate with Project Managers.
• Capable of safely operating required landscape equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

Starting Hourly Wage: $28.00+

Great Oaks Landscape Associates, located in Novi, Michigan, is a recognized leader in the industry for its landscape design-build and maintenance expertise. We are looking for a Landscape Foreman to join our team!

The foreman is a hands-on working position, supervising a team of up to 8 crew members. Responsible for making crew decisions with the guidance of the Project Managers. 5 years prior landscaping experience is required with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise landscape installation operations.
• Review landscape design with landscape designer & project managers.
• Train and mentor landscaping crew employees;
• Supervise employees on the job site
• How to use landscape install equipment
• Installation of plants, shrubs, and trees
• Ensure work is completed per plans and specifications as well as with the client's expectations
• Promote high standards for customer service, develop a safety culture, and create a positive team environment
• Lead, train, and develop employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good work ethic and the ability to work well with the crew - a team player.
• Minimum 2 yr experience in the landscape industry.
• Capable of operating required equipment (Skid steers etc) & tools in a safe/responsible manner.
• Time management skills.
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools & equipment required to complete various landscaping tasks.
