Keesen Landscape is seeking a reliable Small Engine and Light Truck Mechanic to maintain our fleet of vehicles, trailers, and landscaping equipment. The role prioritizes safety, clear communication with the team, and readiness for snow operations.

The ideal candidate has prior mechanic experience, welding capabilities, and the ability to supervise a small seasonal team. Expect a 40-hour week with potential overtime and a pay range of $25–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanic experience required.
• Welding/Metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to manage 1–2 direct reports seasonally.
• Strong vendor relationships.
• Mechanical certifications and fleet-related training.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Experience looking up and ordering parts and materials.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and on-call during snow events.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs; work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Keeps equipment available by inspecting and testing; performs preventive maintenance.
• Makes minor repairs with minimal supervision.
• Maintains equipment appearance and records of service/repairs.
• Troubleshoots breakdowns; orders parts; follows safety standards.
• Operates in a professional manner with vendors and clients.
• Supports shop with administrative duties as needed.
