Job summary

LUSA Holdings in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Landscape Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain 2-cycle engines and other commercial landscape equipment. You will ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for daily use in field operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with small engines, independent work, and a commitment to safety and preventive maintenance. You will work both in the shop and outdoors, lifting up to 50 lbs and following manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience repairing small engines and commercial landscape equipment.
• Strong knowledge of 2-cycle engine repair.
• Experience with commercial-grade landscape equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least 3 consecutive years.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience in a commercial landscape environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain 2-cycle engines (trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, etc.).
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial landscape equipment, including mowers and small engines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Operate company vehicles to transport equipment as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
