Job Description: Landscape Estimator

Position Summary

The Landscape Estimator is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and bidding on large-scale residential landscaping projects. Additionally, this role will serve as a mentor for junior level estimators to ensure accuracy and brand consistency across our residential/design division.

Primary Responsibilities

• Industrial Bidding: Perform take-offs and compile comprehensive bid packages for residential and industrial landscaping projects.


• Technical Analysis: Calculate precise quantities for turf, mulch, plants, trees, hardscape materials and anything else included in the bid.


• Vendor Relations: Negotiate with suppliers, nurseries, and equipment rental companies to secure competitive pricing.


• Site Evaluation: Conduct on-site inspections across Northern Utah to assess terrain, access, and project scope.


• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all bids comply with standards dictated by the governing body, industry or company.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in commercial landscaping or civil construction estimating


• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of landscaping techniques, production rates, crew allocation and scheduling dependencies.


• Software: Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software like PropertyIntel, LMN, or similar applications; advanced Excel skills.


• Licensing: Knowledge of Utah S330 Landscaping Contractor license requirements and other compliance requirements when working with large industrial, energy and infrastructure organizations.
