Position Summary:

This position will perform manual labor in repair and maintenance of various landscape maintenance equipment including, but not limited to, mowers, blowers, weed eaters, edgers, trimmers, chain saws, sweepers, etc. This position will assist with maintaining shop inventory, distributing PPE and shop clean up. This position may assist maintenance crews with basic lawn maintenance tasks when needed. This position is an essential worker position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
  • Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance tasks for lawn equipment to include, but not limited to, lawn mowers, blowers, edgers, weed eaters, chain saws, etc.
  • Knowledge of repair/preventative maintenance tasks associated with typical lawn equipment to include, but not limited to, the following brands: Toro, Stihl, Husqvarna, Gravely, Honda, Echo, Exmark, etc. This would include both gas and electric equipment as well as autonomous mowers.
  • Knowledge of basic lawn maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, mowing, edging, weed eating, blowing, mulching, etc.
  • Ability to use all types of air and mechanical tools related to maintenance and repair of lawn equipment.
  • Ability to operate all types of lawn equipment to include, but not limited to, those mentioned lawn mowers, blowers, edgers, weed eaters, chain saws, etc.

  • Stand, stoop, and bend over during the course of an 8-hour workday.
  • Lift 75 lbs.
