Job summary

Wright Outdoor Solutions is seeking a Landscape Designer (or Architect) to craft detailed, creative landscape design solutions for diverse sites and client preferences, focusing on living spaces that are both functional and aesthetically appealing.

The role emphasizes client interaction, site measurement, base map creation, and collaboration with construction teams to ensure successful project delivery. A degree in landscape design and several years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA or Associate degree in Landscape Design and/or Horticulture or Landscape Architecture.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape design/sales.
• Knowledge of Iowa horticulture.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Dynacsape, UVision (or similar design programs).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Experience with landscape construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints.

• Perform thorough site inventories.
• Measure properties and create scaled base maps.
• Create uniquely desirable, artistic and inspirational landscape designs.
• Produce accurate estimates and prepare detailed proposals for each project.

• Provide excellent customer service and facilitate a great client experience.
• Work with construction teams to ensure successful implementation of projects.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Landscape Designer (or Architect) is responsible for preparing detailed and creative landscape design solutions to suit a variety of site conditions and client preferences. The designers primary focus is on designing uniquely desirable living spaces.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• BA or Associates degree in Landscape Design and/or Horticulture or Landscape Architecture
• 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape design/sales
• Possess knowledge of Iowa horticulture
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Dynacsape, UVision (or similar design programs) a plus
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Must possess expertise in landscape construction methods and materials
• Must be able to create and read blueprints
