Job summary

The City of Columbia SC is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead landscape design and maintenance on city right‑of‑ways. You will create landscape color displays, oversee horticulture crews and ensure projects meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating projects, developing methods under general supervision, and using AutoCAD/VectorWorks for designs while maintaining permits and records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in horticulture, landscape design or related field required or preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience required.
• Valid South Carolina Class "D" Driver's License.
• Pesticide Applicator Certification preferred; experience with AutoCAD/VectorWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise City landscaping projects on City right‑of‑ways.
• Supervise crew members and manage work assignments, training and performance.
