Job summary

Currin Outdoor Living LLC is seeking a hands-on Garden Install Leader to transform outdoor spaces into living works of art across the Triangle. You’ll lead a crew, coordinate with designers and the operations team, and turn detailed landscape designs into stunning gardens, ensuring quality and on-time execution.

The role requires 2 years of installation experience, a valid license, and the ability to operate landscape equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 years landscape installation experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate basic landscape equipment.
• Ability to drive a light-duty dump truck and have trailer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of 2–4 teammates and work with designers and operations.
• Turn detailed landscape designs into real, stunning gardens.
• Track daily tasks, hours, and materials like a pro.
• Operate equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and compactors.
• Drive light-duty dump trucks and practice safe trailering methods.
• Keep tools, trucks, and the shop organized and ready to roll.
• Communicate with the production manager to keep projects running smoothly.

• 3‑5 years installation experience in Landscape Construction
• Strong communication skills (Spanish a big plus).
• A passion for plants, teamwork, and creating beautiful spaces.
• A degree in horticulture or related fields is a bonus, not a requirement.

Physical Demands

The position requires various physical activities, including prolonged standing, walking, stooping, crawling, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, reaching, grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and handling. Other requirements include talking, hearing, depth perception, manual dexterity, and a wide field of vision. Candidates must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.

Work Environment

The role involves being exposed to various outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity, as well as fluctuating weather patterns. Work includes wet and dry environments. The position also involves frequent exposure to high noise levels from equipment and machinery, and vibrations from power tools.

• Proximity to moving mechanical parts, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Potential exposure to electrical hazards, particularly when working near or with electrical systems (e.g., lighting or irrigation systems).
• Atmospheric conditions, such as dust, pollen, and fumes from machinery, fertilizers, or chemicals, requiring proper safety measures.
• Risk of electrical shock when using certain power tools or working around electrical systems.
• Working on or near wet, slippery surfaces, or uneven terrain, which may increase the risk of slips and falls.
• Bee stings and other bug bites.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
