Job summary

Currin Outdoor Living is seeking a hands-on Landscape Install Leader to transform outdoor spaces across the Triangle. You will lead a small crew, coordinate with designers and the operations team, and turn detailed designs into thriving landscapes.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of installation experience, strong communication, and a passion for plants. Spanish skills are a plus; a horticulture degree is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 2 years landscape installation
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Ability to operate basic landscape equipment
• Ability to drive a light-duty dump truck and have trailering experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a crew of 2–4 awesome teammates

• Track daily tasks, hours, and materials like a pro
• Operate equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and compactors

Physical Demands

The position requires various physical activities, including prolonged standing, walking, stooping, crawling, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, reaching, grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and handling. Other requirements include talking, hearing, depth perception, manual dexterity, and a wide field of vision. Candidates must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.

Work Environment

The physical demands of this position include being exposed to various outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. You will encounter fluctuating weather patterns and work in both wet and dry environments. This role also involves frequent exposure to high noise levels from equipment and machinery, as well as vibrations from the use of power tools. Additional environmental exposures include proximity to moving mechanical parts such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment; potential exposure to electrical hazards; atmospheric conditions such as dust, pollen, and fumes from machinery, fertilizers, or chemicals; risk of electrical shock when using certain power tools or working around electrical systems; working on or near wet, slippery surfaces or uneven terrain; and bee stings and other bug bites.
