Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and willing to work outdoors.
  • OSHA-10 Certification strongly valued.

In addition to our traditional landscape services; we offer in-house expertise including landscape architecture, civil engineering, agronomy, hardscape and plant installation, site work, interior scaping, and arboriculture providing a one source of contact for a complete suite of landscape services and technical knowledge.

About the Job: The Landscape Construction Estimator will develop detailed cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project managers and design teams to ensure precise and competitive bids. The Estimator must understand the scope of work, identify potential issues, and communicate effectively to develop solutions. Additionally, the Estimator will manage the process from initial contact with clients through to final invoicing, working closely with clients, suppliers, and operations team to gather accurate information, negotiate prices, and support the overall growth and success of our landscape construction division, through bidding on residential communities, commercial properties, parks, municipal projects, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Once a project reaches contract stage, you would be responsible to buyout all materials, negotiating with suppliers, & managing the project alongside one of our field superintendents.
  • Estimate & create proposals for incoming opportunities.
  • Following the sales process from start to finish.
  • Coordinating both short-term & long-term scheduling alongside existing management staff.
  • Assist in personnel management, employee safety, & training.
  • Build relationships with both existing & new customers.
  • Job Tracking and Cost Controls for all projects

Minimum requirements & capabilities:

  • Horticultural knowledge and proficiency in plant identification
  • Working knowledge of irrigation systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls
  • Working knowledge of drainage methods
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape projects. Best practices for all disciplines.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and materials suppliers, venders and plant brokers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to maintain company and client confidential information.
  • Excellent driving record

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in the landscape/construction industry.
  • Landscape Contracting Degree or Similar Qualification
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Must be willing and able to work in all outdoor weather conditions all year round
  • Must be willing and able to work 45 hours or more per week when requested
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays when requested
  • OSHA-10 Certification strongly valued
  • Proficient in sales
  • Proficient in outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel
