Job description

Join us as a Landscape Architect Designer at Volkert, Inc.

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect Designer to support our Southeast Region, located in Miami or Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare presentation packages using 3D modeling, graphic design, and desktop publishing software
• Conduct research and prepare site reviews and analyses
• Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Microstation
• Participate in site analysis, project meetings, and construction administration
• Support marketing and business development efforts through development graphics and web-based communication

What You Need To Have

• B.S. or M.S. in Landscape Architecture
• 4-8 years of experience preferred, but other levels will be considered
• Technical knowledge of Microstation (preferred), AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, ArcGIS
• Knowledge of local jurisdiction and state permitting/approval processes
• Knowledge of regional plant materials
• Interest in licensing, with knowledge of ENVISION, LEED, or SITES principles preferred
• Excellent communication skills, organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
• Ability to work immediately in the U.S. on a full-time basis
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, capable of multitasking
• Pass pre-employment drug screening, valid driver’s license, and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
