Job summary

DISA Technologies is hiring a Land Agent in the United States to support a growing portfolio of land assets. The role blends office work, field operations, regulatory coordination, and cross-functional support. The candidate should be detail-oriented and thrive in a dynamic startup environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of land/title experience or a solid title foundation and is willing to transition into field/surface/mining work. Must have a valid U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in land management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in land research, permitting, compliance, mining claims, or similar work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ownership and title research for prospective AUM sites, mining claims, and private parcels.
  • Compile and maintain records of landowners, mineral rights, surface rights, and encumbrances.
  • Support due diligence for site acquisition, staking, leasing, or agreements.
  • Track land status changes and keep internal systems updated.
  • Assist with staking of new mining claims on BLM and state lands.
  • Ensure compliance with location requirements, monument standards, and deadlines.
  • Document field staking with GPS, maps, and photos.
  • Support site visits and field assessments.
  • Coordinate with state agencies, BLM offices, and other authorities.
  • Track permits, renewals, fees, and updates for active claims.
  • Maintain records for audits and reporting.
  • Assist with land access agreements and right-of-entry documentation.
  • Support surface disturbance and reclamation regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain land databases and GIS data with GIS staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Land Management, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
Equivalent experience and certification (RL, RPL) as Landman/permitting specialist

Job Summary

The Land Agent supports DISA’s growing uranium and AUM site portfolio by assisting with land research, claim staking, regulatory filings, and the administrative and fieldwork needed to secure, maintain, and manage DISA’s land assets. This role blends office work, field operations, regulatory coordination, and cross-functional support. The Land Agent is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in both field and administrative environments. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and contributing to many areas of business development.

Education/ Experience

Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct ownership and title research for prospective AUM sites, mining claims, and private parcels.

  • Help prepare and file POOs, COO’s NOIs, NOEs, and associated regulatory documents.
  • Coordinate with state agencies, BLM field offices, and other authorities as needed.
  • Track deadlines, renewals, fees, and required updates for active permits and claims.
  • Maintain organized records for audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting.
  • Assist with land access agreements, landowner correspondence, and right-of-entry documentation.
  • Support documentation for surface disturbance, reclamation reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain land databases, mapping files, and GIS-relevant information in coordination with GIS staff.
  • Track expiring claims, renewal deadlines, and administrative requirements.
  • Provide land-related information to Resources, Operations, and Corporate Development teams.
  • Assist with preparing maps, summaries, and land packages for leadership and investors.
  • Help coordinate surveying, drilling access, cultural clearances, and environmental requirements.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA.
  • Attend and participate in all required safety trainings.
  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
Required Skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read maps, legal land descriptions, and title records.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in remote areas for staking and field support.
  • Proficient with basic mapping tools and willing to learn GIS workflows.
  • Highly organized and reliable, with strong follow-through.
  • Comfortable balancing fieldwork and office work and supporting multiple projects at once.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team, supporting shared goals and fostering positive relationships.
  • Adapt to dynamic environments and identify solutions to challenges with flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain professionalism with high attention to detail, reliability, accountability, and accuracy in all work deliverables.

  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company safety standards.
  • Be a valid U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit and/ or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk several miles in rugged terrain under varied and sometimes extreme environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
  • To best service our customers, all employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as typing.
