POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIESDGOC is looking for a Landman to support its Central Division operations. The Landman will report to the Director of Land for the Central Division and the role will focus on resolving issues for our Land, Operations, Domestic Gas Permitting, and Accounting teams as well as an initial contact point for Lessors and property owners. The ideal candidate will have production related land field experience.Special focus will be placed on:Evaluating and negotiating routine well acquisitions and divestituresAddressing operational hurdles such as access issues, pipeline rerouted and permitting supportEnsuring appropriate communications and paperwork are submitted to ManagementCoordinating requests for domestic house gas and drafting house has agreements when appropriateObtaining and recording documents from courthousesResolving routine and complex ownership issuesSupporting acquisition due diligence and records assimilationServing as point-of-contact for assigned projectsResearches and provides documentation of leases, rights-of-way, joint ventures, and other types of oil and gas agreementsPerforms in-house title information gathering, organizes and analyzes title documents to assess rights information, and performs internal title updatesProvide support to the Engineering, Drilling, and Operations teamsExperience in or ability to prepare and execute leases, rights – of way documentsAbility to manage Land Contractors or Land Brokers on a particular projectKnowledgeable with Joint Operating Agreements, Farm-ins & Farm-outs, and other Oil & Gas related agreementsAbility to identify omissions or errors on a lease or title, takes the appropriate steps to cure themNegotiates and Settles Damage Settlements
POSITION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree in Land or Business or related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experienceOil and Gas Land field experience with a production company is preferredEffective written and oral communication skillsDemeanor that will project a positive image for the companyAbility to work independently with some guidanceProficient in Microsoft Office (including Access and Excel), PDF, GIS and oil and gas accounting software programsMember of MLBC or AAPL preferred
