Job summary

HOM, Inc. in Arizona seeks a Landlord Support Specialist to coordinate tasks across housing programs, focusing on landlords and property managers.

You will review RFTAs, leases, and payments, ensure documentation meets program requirements, and maintain accurate records in HOM systems. This is a non-exempt role supporting multiple teams to ensure timely lease-ups, compliance, and strong landlord relationships.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Planner, Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with aptitude for project management and multitasking to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Knowledgeable of AZ Residential Landlord & Tenant Act.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for landlords and property managers with existing HOM-assisted tenancies, coordinating with internal teams to resolve concerns.
• Review and process RFTAs for initial lease-ups, participant moves, and other housing actions, ensuring required documentation and program requirements are met.
• Review landlord, ownership, payee, banking, and required compliance documentation for accuracy and consistency, coordinating with Landlord Engagement when verification or updates are needed.
• Conduct rent reasonableness determinations for lease-ups and moves, and negotiate rents with landlords when necessary to meet market and program requirements.
• Coordinate lease renewals and related activities, including documentation, approvals, and payment holds when requirements are not satisfied within timelines.
• Review lease and tenancy information for accuracy, coordinating changes with landlords and HOM teams.
• Review housing assistance payment activity and related records to resolve issues affecting payments.
• Maintain accurate records within HOM systems.
• Manage a high-volume caseload of 750-800.
• Prioritize, meet deadlines, and coordinate with HOM departments to support timely lease-up and compliance.
