Job summary

HOM, Inc. is seeking a Landlord Relations & Inspections Specialist to expand HOM’s landlord network in the Durham, NC area and conduct HUD-compliant housing inspections.

The role blends field outreach with administrative duties, requiring strong communication and organizational skills while traveling regionally. You will educate landlords on program requirements, coordinate inspections, and maintain documentation in housing software and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• HQS or NSPIRE certification is preferred or obtainable within 90 days.
• Experience with HUD-funded housing programs is preferred.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and engage landlords and housing providers for HOM programs.
• Coordinate and conduct inspections to ensure HUD and program standards.
• Educate landlords on leasing, incentives, and program requirements.
• Maintain records using housing software and CRM systems.
• Communicate proactively with landlords and HOM staff to resolve issues.
• Travel throughout Durham region and maintain compliant documentation.
