Job summary

Republic Services in Texas is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate machinery at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station, performing loading, spreading, covering and compacting tasks with a focus on efficiency and safety.

You will inspect equipment, monitor waste quality, complete reports, and follow all safety policies while maintaining a clean, safe work area and collaborating with team members across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment and ensure safety.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator and bulldozer following safety standards.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and maintain equipment readiness.
• Perform minor servicing and document Equipment Condition Reports as required.
• Follow all safety policies and keep the shop area clean and organized.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
