Job summary

City Of Cheyenne is seeking a Landfill Worker to support daily landfill operations. Responsibilities include litter control, equipment cleaning, and assisting with stormwater and erosion control measures.

You will help install fences and traffic signs, organize facilities, and perform routine inspections for safety and efficiency. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in varied weather, and a willingness to follow City safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in construction site environment preferred.
• Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landfill surroundings free of litter and debris.
• Clean landfill equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Install and maintain traffic signs, silt fences, and basic fencing.
• Assist with stormwater prevention and erosion control systems as directed.
• Complete daily equipment inspection forms for assigned gear.
• Work rotating schedules during holidays.
