Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division in Lugoff, SC is seeking a landfill operations supervisor to lead a productive workforce, ensure safety, and optimize utilization of personnel and equipment across site operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and several years in waste/landfill, with hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, and a SWANA certification. You will conduct performance reviews, enforce regulatory compliance, and manage safety programs on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in operations management.
• 3+ years experience in waste/landfill industry or similar.
• Proficient with operation of dump truck, bulldozer, compactor, track hoe, loader and backhoe.
• SWANA Manager of Landfill Operations certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sustain a productive and motivated workforce while meeting service commitments.
• Plan and operate landfill operations to best utilize personnel and equipment.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and approve compensation changes.
• Schedule and conduct safety meetings and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
• Establish and review productivity standards at each operation phase.
• Protect and preserve all assets and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
