Job summary

Athens Services seeks an Operations Supervisor – Landfill to oversee daily landfill operations in Landers, CA, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while leading site staff and processes. You will monitor production, drive improvements, and coordinate with maintenance to maximize efficiency and safety.

Five years of landfill leadership experience and a valid Class A license are required; SWANA MOLO certification or plan to obtain is also expected, along with strong communication and MS

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible landfill operations experience with leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of landfill operations including unloading, compaction and basic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED; valid Class A license.
• SWANA MOLO certification or plan to obtain within stated timeframe.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and site plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of landfill facility.
• Lead hiring, performance management and discipline of site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local/state regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement to maximize production, efficiency and safety.
• Monitor safety meetings, training and regulatory coordination.
• Maintain records, inspections and tonnage data.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment readiness.
