Dane County Waste & Renewables in Madison, WI is hiring a full-time Skilled Laborer - Landfill. This role operates heavy equipment, maintains landfill operations, and supports construction and maintenance tasks at the landfill, RNG plant, and related facilities.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of construction or maintenance experience, or six months operating medium-heavy equipment.

Formación

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in construction or maintenance, or at least six (6) months of operating medium-heavy sized motorized equipment (front end loader, bulldozer, excavator, etc.).
• An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
• Valid Wisconsin Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License required at time of hire; Class “A” within 12 months; N (Tanker) endorsement preferred but not required.
• Registration in USDOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse; pass drug/alcohol testing after conditional offer.

Responsabilidades

• Operates heavy motorized equipment including bulldozers, front-end loaders, landfill compactors, dump trucks, excavators, and other heavy equipment.
• Pushes, spreads, and compacts solid waste; excavates, hauls, and covers waste with soil.
• Directs vehicles to proper disposal areas and screens loads for compliance; performs routine maintenance inspections.
