Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Irvine, KY is seeking a Landfill Laborer to perform grounds upkeep, maintenance tasks, and assist with various lines of business at our Estill Co Campus. The role involves operating equipment, repairing fences, and safety-focused fieldwork.

You will work outdoors in changing temperatures, handle tools, and communicate effectively with customers and team members while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility grounds upkeep including mowing, trimming, and picking up paper/trash from facility grounds and surrounding areas.
• Build and repair fences.
• Maintain the odor control system as needed.
• Operate the skid steer, sweeper, flush trucks, and fuel trucks as needed.
• Direct traffic on or around landfill and interact professionally with customers.
• Assist with general housekeeping and maintenance of maintenance shops and offices.
