Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Landfill Laborer to maintain facility grounds, operate basic equipment, and support yard activities at the Irvine, KY site. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and dependable performance in a busy waste handling environment.

Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, fence work, odor control support, equipment washing, and assisting with maintenance tasks as needed. A valid driver’s license and ability to read English are required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal communication with internal and external customers.
• Safety-focused mindset and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility grounds upkeep including mowing and trash pickup.
• Build and repair fences and erosion control structures.
• Operate skid steer and other equipment as needed.
• Direct traffic around the landfill and interact professionally with customers.
• Follow safety policies and assist with maintenance tasks as required.
