Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Groundskeeper to upkeep facility grounds, fences, and related infrastructure. You will operate skid steers and other equipment, assist with yard duties, and help ensure safe, clean operations.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, reliability, the ability to work with minimal supervision, strong communication with customers and team, and a commitment to safety amid outdoor, variable conditions.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Good verbal communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Safety-focused mindset and adherence to policies.
• Experience with hand tools and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility grounds upkeep including mowing, trimming, and trash pickup.
• Build, repair, and install fences and erosion control measures.
• Operate skid steer, sweeper, trucks, and other equipment as needed.
• Direct traffic around landfill and interact professionally with customers.
• Maintain odor control systems and assist with yard duties.
