Job summary

WM is seeking a qualified individual to manage a Landfill Gas to Energy Facility, maximizing production while upholding safety, environmental compliance, and timely maintenance. The role requires coordinating with WMRE operations, landfill management, and external vendors to meet contractual obligations and optimize energy output.

The position involves responding to emergencies, managing call-out schedules, and ensuring proper documentation and testing per air permits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
• 5 years of relevant work experience diagnosing and repairing internal combustion engines and cooling systems.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Landfill Gas to Energy Facility to maximize production while ensuring safe work practices and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with WMRE and landfill management to schedule maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure adherence to air permits, testing, and reporting requirements; represent WMRE with regulatory bodies.
• Procure plant supplies and manage vendors within WMRE guidelines; maintain inventory.
• Provide 24/7 call-out leadership for plant shutdowns; balance on-site presence with routine duties.
• Represent WMRE in power/gas scheduling and customer relations with purchasers.
